Swift Water Rescue Awareness
The Swift Water Rescue Awareness course teaches river dynamics, river hazards, and overviews Swift Water search and rescue methods and tactics. This course is the initial module of the Swift Water Rescue program and must be successfully completed prior to attending a TARS Swift Water Rescue I Course. This course meets the applicable NFPA Awareness objectives and is the initial course for Swift Water Rescue.

Pre-requisites: None
Location: There are both LIVE IN-PERSON and LIVE ONLINE Courses listed above. Live in-person classes will not be live-streamed. For Online Instructor Led Webinars (students will need a working microphone in order to interact with the instructor. This course will be monitored during the event for attendance and participation. Failure to complete this course successfully will result in the student not being admitted into the Swift Water Rescue 1 Course(s).
