PADI Rescue Diver Course

The PADI Rescue Diver course teaches you techniques to avoid and manage problems and improve your confidence as a diver. During the course you'll become a better buddy by enhancing your ability to identify potential problems and by practicing dive emergency protocol. The subject is serious but the training is fun - many divers tell us the PADI Rescue Diver course was their favorite!

The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques. Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you learn what to look for and how to respond. During rescue scenarios, you put into practice your knowledge and skills. Topics include:

• Self rescue

• Recognizing and managing stress in other divers

• Emergency management and equipment

• Rescuing panicked divers

• Rescuing unresponsive divers

You must attend each day of training during the course cycle to be certified as a PADI Rescue Diver.

Prerequisites:

• 12 years or older

• Adventure Diver/Junior Adventure Diver (or qualifying certification) with completed Underwater Navigation Dive

• A current CPR/BLS certificate is required for the Rescue Diver Course

• All academics except for Public Safety Diver and CPR/BLS are E-Learning and need to be completed prior to the class date.

• E-Learning includes all videos and exams, so we are training in the water on the training dates, No Classroom.

This course will be certified through PADI and c-cards will be provided.

 

 

This is a partnership class and all registrations will go through the instructor and PADI. CPR/BLS can be added to any training session. Call instructor for details.

All classes will be held at the location listed above and there is limited bunk space available at the department and it is available on a first come first served basis.
