PADI Public Safety Diver Course

​

The Public Safety Diver Course is designed to improve your underwater skills for public safety diving. This course involves a classroom component, a skills component, a training component, and most importantly a scenario component.  The course will push your knowledge and skills learned in prior classes to the limit. This is a perfect course for anyone who dives for a public safety entity.

​

You must attend each day of training during the course cycle to be certified as a PADI Public Safety Diver.

Prerequisites:

  • You must be a member of a Public Safety Dive Team

  • A letter of recommendation/good standing from your dive team leader

  • Rescue Diver certification (certification from another recognized training organization will be honored)

  • Current CPR/BLS certificate

  • Public Safety Diver and CPR/BLS have the first day of training a classroom day.

  • PADI’s Public Safety Diver has the highest prerequisites in the business and there is a reason for this.

  • Associate Members - $500.00

  • Non-Members - $550.00 

 

 

This course will be certified through PADI and c-cards will be provided.

All classes will be held at the location listed above and there is limited bunk space available at the department and it is available on a first come first served basis.
