Overview
With the rapid growth of lithium-ion battery use in electric vehicles, consumer devices, and energy storage systems, fire service professionals and inspectors face new and evolving risks. This course provides essential knowledge and practical skills to recognize, prevent, and respond to incidents involving lithium-ion batteries. Participants will learn about battery technologies, associated fire hazards, suppression tactics, inspection criteria, and current code requirements to enhance community safety and operational readiness. Course presented by Ben Wexler (TFACA).
