About the event
ISAR / SARTECH III
The NASAR SARTECH III class is designed to introduce the participant to the complex concepts of land based search and rescue operations conducted in the rural environment. This course is intended for all Law Enforcement, EMS, Emergency Management, Fire and Rescue Personnel that conduct land based Search and Rescue Missions. In this course the participant will receive instruction on the importance of proper SAR management, lost subject behavior, subject finder/locators, defining the role of the search manager and search personnel, introduction to map and compass reading, basic land navigation, and team building. The student will also receive introduction on basic rescue techniques such as; basic rescue knots and rope utilization for low angle rescue, and basic patient packaging for wilderness extraction. This course is a mixture of classroom and field exercises. Included with your registration is the textbook and NASAR certification/testing fee.
